Meet
Ms. Michaca
Parent Coordinator
Dear Parents and PS 28 Family,

I hope this message finds you well and surrounded by many blessings. My name is Mariana Michaca, and I am honored to introduce myself as your new Parent Coordinator at P.S. 28. I am truly excited to begin this journey alongside you and to support our wonderful school community.
A little about me: I am originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, and have lived in Corona my entire life. I bring with me a strong background in family and community engagement. Before joining P.S. 28, I served as the Parent Coordinator at The High School for Arts and Business for nearly three years. Prior to that, I worked as a Home Visitor at The Child Center of NY in Corona, where I supported families through early childhood development services.
As a proud parent of a four-year-old, I deeply understand the hopes, challenges, and dreams that come with raising a child. Both as a fellow parent and as a professional, I am here to support you every step of the way. I invite all parents to stop by my office anytime with questions, concerns, or anything related to your child’s education and success. Your involvement is a vital part of our school community. You're also welcome to reach out by phone at (718) 271-4971, extension 1208, or by email at MMichacameza@schools.nyc.gov.
I look forward to working together to create a supportive, thriving environment for all our students.
Warm regards,
Mariana Alejandra Michaca Meza
