Hello Everyone!

For our new families, allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Robert Quintana and I am the proud principal of P.S. 28Q, The Thomas Emanuel school.

​

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new students as well as their families. I am so excited to have you join our vibrant and diverse school community. P.S.28 is a school where you can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

For our returning students, I am thrilled to welcome you back for another year of growth, achievement and success.

​

As we begin this new school year together, I want to impress upon everyone the importance of TIME.  TIME is the one commodity that we cannot purchase.  How you choose to spend it is up to you.  It is so important to make time throughout the day to put down the devices and interact with one another. Make the time to explore and discover, make the time to go to visit local gardens, zoos and parks.  I want to work hand in hand with our families to create an environment where every student can not only achieve success but also become a positive, responsible global citizen.

This year we have a new PA President, Mr. Christian Roman and we have a new after school  program ( New York Edge.)  This year our new after school program will be COMPLETELY FREE for families.  Space is limited so if you are interested, please complete the enrollment form as soon as you can.  On Wednesday , September 10th we will be hosting our first PA meeting at 8:30am and will have representatives from New York Edge there to answer any questions that you may have.  Additionally, we have our Meet the Teacher Night on the same day from 3 to 6pm.

I am very excited for this academic year and welcome any input or feedback that you may have.
